2018-06-11　太古A（019）、太古B（087）及港機工程（044）昨聯合公佈，太古擬以溢價逾六成私有化港機工程，涉資近30億元，並建議撤銷港機工程的上市地位。太古認為，港機股份的交易流通量長期處於較低水平，令股東難以進行場內出售，私有化為股東提供機會。
 
2018-06-11　港機工程（044）於1965年在香港上市，其股價於2007年曾一度高見246.2元。近年受累港機（美洲）業務持續虧損，公司去年由盈轉虧蝕5.41億元。港機今年迄今已累跌12.09%，上周五收報44元，市值僅73億元。截至去年底止，港機資產淨值為71.85億元，較最新市值為低。
 
2018-06-11　港機工程（044）旗下廈門太古飛機工程業務包括私人飛機設計整裝業務，但機身服務才是主要港機收入來源。若包括發動機服務，廈門太古為港機工程第二大盈利來源。包括機身維修、機艙改裝等的機身服務去年已售工時為376萬小時，工作量增長17.1%，為過去9年來最高紀錄。
 
2018-06-11　目前廈門太古機身服務的已售工時快將貼近產能上限，公司借縮短飛機駐場時間（term time）及發展機庫以外服務例如零部件製造、航線服務等，以提升盈利能力。廈門太古目前有6個機庫，高峰期可容納近30架飛機。
