垃圾征費逼近,產生大量廚余的餐飲業頻撲減廢出路,有本地餐飲集團與初創公司及元朗農莊合作,將餐前廚余釀造天然酵素堆肥種菜「轉廢為寶」,期望毋須使用人工肥料、農藥等。集團預計今年能回收30公噸廚余以產出20公噸蔬果,在70間旗下餐廳入饌,又說該些蔬果爽脆清甜,早前已深得客人青睞,但坦言計劃仍在發展,所減的廚余占比並不多,要全面減廢仍需與港府跨部門「多方面」合作。
