【記者陳廣盛報道】南丫島撞船事故調查委員會研訊進入第39日,「海泰號」船長黎細明昨日原定要繼續作供,但代表他和船員的律師在開庭時突然申請押後研訊,但不獲委員會批准,其後律師拒絕再代表黎細明和船員,只擔任港九小輪的公司代表。委員會決定批准黎細明和一名船員押後研訊。另一名水手黃帶有則決定繼續作供,他表示沒有受過訓練,不懂雷達運作。在撞船後更有乘客要求船長繼續將船只開往榕樹灣碼頭碼頭。在乘客的要求下,船長便將船駛往碼頭。
海難調查委員會研訊首次披露「海泰號」撞船後情況,水手黃帶有稱,當時不知海泰號撞中甚麼,無考慮過要協助被撞船乘客。因事後船身左傾及入水,有乘客表現彷徨、焦慮及鼓噪,故船員應乘客的要求將渡輪駛往南丫島榕樹灣碼頭。
【本報訊】十.一南丫島撞船意外起因仍在調查中,英國海事專家分析,南丫IV在撞船前有右轉閃避,相反海泰號左轉是釀成意外的主因,海泰號所屬的港九小輪代表律師卻質疑,海泰號當時是正駛向碼頭的直航船,而南丫IV則是剛剛離開碼頭的讓路船,南丫IV應有責任先轉向避開對方,海事專家不認同有關說法,直指海泰號應對撞船事故要負上八成責任,南丫IV則有兩成責任。農歷新年假期後,事件關鍵人物、南丫IV及海泰號的船長及船員將出庭作供。
十.一南丫島撞船事故中有多名小童罹難,調查委員會昨向港燈海事組經理鄧雲安提出質疑,指明知當晚有小童乘船卻無准備小童救生衣,鄧承認南丫IV無放置小童救生衣,現在回想覺得已太遲,港燈已在新船加添小童救生衣。至於南丫IV結構及建造問題,鄧指港燈信賴財利船廠及海事處專業檢驗。但港燈承認雖有提供船只操作指引,卻只放在碼頭辦公室。港九小輪董事總經理伍兆緣今出庭作供。
