早在 2004 年,APPLE CARD 的概念就由 STEVE JOBS 提出,如今正迎來實踐階段,這張與知名金融企業 GOLDMAN SACHS 合作推出的 APPLE CARD 以極簡的外觀和淡雅白色吸引許多人注意,不久前更提出購買 IPHONE 時可以 24 期無息分期等獨家優惠,著實拉抬了話題聲量,不少人都爭相申請這張信用卡,但今次卻傳出了性別歧視指控,究竟是為什麼?
蘋果(APPLE,美︰AAPL)與高盛(GOLDMAN SACHS,美︰GS)合作發行的信用卡APPLE CARD卷入性別歧視風波,女性申請者的信貸額度比男性的低。高盛行政總裁所羅門(DAVID SOLOMON)強調,公司在審批APPLE CARD上沒有性別歧視,並解釋指不同的申請者,獲批不一樣信貸額度是很正常的事。

蘋果和高盛合作推出的信用卡「APPLE CARD」最近被指性別歧視,一名企業家兼網絡工程師早前在TWITTE表示, APPLE CARD給他的信用額,是他太太的20倍,質疑銀行在審核信用額時涉及性別歧視,事件在網絡瘋傳,成為熱話。

不過,在整個金融行業數位轉型的過程中,其實每一個環節都與雲端技術有關。像是所羅門也提到,高盛與APPLE合作的APPLE CARD信用卡,背後就是使用AWS作為底層架構。「在高盛工程師、AWS、APPLE與萬事達卡的多方合作之下,APPLE CARD已經成為史上最成功的信用卡,」所羅門這樣說。

, GOLDMAN SACHS — THE BANK BEHIND THE APPLE CARD — SAID IT DOLED OUT ABOUT $10 BILLION IN CREDIT LINES IN JUST OVER A MONTH FOR THE CARD. APPLE CARD‌ CUSTOMERS HAD $736 MILLION IN LOAN BALANCES AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER.
CURRENTLY, THE ONLY WAY TO GET FINANCING ON A MAC, IPAD, OR OTHER APPLE PRODUCTS WHEN BUYING DIRECTLY THROUGH APPLE IS TO USE THE BARCLAYCARD, BUT HAVING ALL OF YOUR FINANCED APPLE PRODUCTS UNDER APPLE CARD SOUNDS JUST LIKE SOMETHING APPLE WOULD DO.
INDEED, THE KEY FEATURE OF THE CARD IS HOW WELL IT INTEGRATES INTO THE IPHONE AND WALLET APP. WHEN THE CARD WAS ANNOUNCED IN MARCH, APPLE PROCLAIMED THAT THE CARD IS 「BUILT INTO THE APPLE WALLET APP ON IPHONE, OFFERING CUSTOMERS A FAMILIAR EXPERIENCE WITH APPLE PAY AND THE ABILITY TO MANAGE THEIR CARD RIGHT ON IPHONE.」 IN FACT, YOU DON』T EVEN NEED TO HAVE THE PHYSICAL CARD. CARDHOLDERS CAN APPLY AND START USING IT RIGHT AWAY WITH APPLE PAY.
