早在 2004 年,APPLE CARD 的概念就由 STEVE JOBS 提出,如今正迎来实践阶段,这张与知名金融企业 GOLDMAN SACHS 合作推出的 APPLE CARD 以极简的外观和淡雅白色吸引许多人注意,不久前更提出购买 IPHONE 时可以 24 期无息分期等独家优惠,着实拉抬了话题声量,不少人都争相申请这张信用卡,但今次却传出了性别歧视指控,究竟是为什么?
苹果(APPLE,美∶AAPL)与高盛(GOLDMAN SACHS,美∶GS)合作发行的信用卡APPLE CARD卷入性别歧视风波,女性申请者的信贷额度比男性的低。高盛行政总裁所罗门(DAVID SOLOMON)强调,公司在审批APPLE CARD上没有性别歧视,并解释指不同的申请者,获批不一样信贷额度是很正常的事。

苹果和高盛合作推出的信用卡“APPLE CARD”最近被指性别歧视,一名企业家兼网络工程师早前在TWITTE表示, APPLE CARD给他的信用额,是他太太的20倍,质疑银行在审核信用额时涉及性别歧视,事件在网络疯传,成为热话。

不过,在整个金融行业数位转型的过程中,其实每一个环节都与云端技术有关。像是所罗门也提到,高盛与APPLE合作的APPLE CARD信用卡,背后就是使用AWS作为底层架构。“在高盛工程师、AWS、APPLE与万事达卡的多方合作之下,APPLE CARD已经成为史上最成功的信用卡,”所罗门这样说。

CURRENTLY, THE ONLY WAY TO GET FINANCING ON A MAC, IPAD, OR OTHER APPLE PRODUCTS WHEN BUYING DIRECTLY THROUGH APPLE IS TO USE THE BARCLAYCARD, BUT HAVING ALL OF YOUR FINANCED APPLE PRODUCTS UNDER APPLE CARD SOUNDS JUST LIKE SOMETHING APPLE WOULD DO.
INDEED, THE KEY FEATURE OF THE CARD IS HOW WELL IT INTEGRATES INTO THE IPHONE AND WALLET APP. WHEN THE CARD WAS ANNOUNCED IN MARCH, APPLE PROCLAIMED THAT THE CARD IS “BUILT INTO THE APPLE WALLET APP ON IPHONE, OFFERING CUSTOMERS A FAMILIAR EXPERIENCE WITH APPLE PAY AND THE ABILITY TO MANAGE THEIR CARD RIGHT ON IPHONE.” IN FACT, YOU DON’T EVEN NEED TO HAVE THE PHYSICAL CARD. CARDHOLDERS CAN APPLY AND START USING IT RIGHT AWAY WITH APPLE PAY.
